What we mean by custom development
Custom software earns its keep by fitting the business — and it fails in three predictable ways: fuzzy scope, opaque progress, and nobody maintaining it afterwards. We control all three with the same method every time: requirements are frozen into an acceptable feature list, every two weeks produces a demonstrable increment, and handover includes documentation and deployment scripts, not just code.
Typical situations
- First real system. Orders, inventory and approvals still live in spreadsheets and chat groups, and the process needs a system to carry it.
- Rebuilding what exists. An outsourced system from years ago has become unchangeable — adding one field takes two weeks — and you want an architecture that can keep iterating.
- Unifying platforms. Web, mini-program and app need to share accounts, permissions and data instead of being built three times.
Stack
| Layer | Typical choices |
|---|---|
| Backend | Go, Java (Spring Boot), Node.js, Python (FastAPI) |
| Front end | Vue 3, React, TypeScript, Vite |
| Mobile | WeChat mini-program, uni-app, Flutter |
| Data | MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, Elasticsearch |
| Infrastructure | Docker, Kubernetes, Nginx, object storage, message queues |
Indicative timeline and budget
| Size | Typical scope | Duration | Indicative budget |
|---|---|---|---|
| Light | One business module or mini-program | 4-8 weeks | from ¥50k |
| Medium | Full business system plus admin console | 3-5 months | from ¥200k |
| Large | Multi-platform, middle office, high concurrency | 6+ months | on request |
